I appreciate Lori’s unique approach in these podcasts because she not only explores storytelling generally, but also highlights the importance of analyzing and utilizing our own inner narratives to better understand and improve our lives. She helps us see that we all have, not only stories that we share as a means of social discourse, but memories and adopted inner narratives that, for better or worse, define who we are to ourselves and others. She encourages us to honestly evaluate the stories we embrace, and then reframe those stories to empower ourselves, let go of baggage, and become better versions of our current selves. Lori incorporates analysis, academic discourse, personal examples, and various practical suggestions and challenges to help her listeners find greater hope, self-awareness and happiness. Excellent podcast. I look forward to hearing more!
